“Fern + Moss is truly a magical place. I’m a pretty particular person when it comes to picking a place to stay, and this truly was the BEST AirBnb we’ve stayed in! The home is spotless and beautifully designed, the lake views are stunning… it’s so private but close to Minocqua for anything you need. Our favorite places we visited were Blink Bonnie’s (always a fav!) and Lida’s for breakfast. On the flip side - if you want a true “do nothing” type of stay, this is also perfect. We found ourselves sitting on the expansive deck much of the day just appreciating the nature around us, We are already planning to come back! Thank you for a wonderful birthday vacation!”

“Our family loved our week-long stay. It was fantastic to feel like we were in the woods of WI. We spent so much time on the lake and all the provided water accessories were thoroughly used almost every day: kayaks, paddle board, canoe, LilyPads, etc. The house was lovely! Great space for us and our 4 kids. Plenty of bathrooms and towels. Beds and pillows were nice. We don't eat out much and the kitchen was well equipped with cooking needs as well as plenty of dishes. The only small downside is that the basement was musty so we didn't use it due to allergies. Thankfully the rest of the house was plenty big enough for us.”

“When the “worst” thing you can say about your stay is that you wish the coffee mugs had bigger handles, you know you’re having one of your best trips yet. 😊 We can’t recommend Fern & Moss enough for a relaxing getaway. The property was just as charming as the pictures show. Every detail is top notch. From hearing the acorns drop around us at the campfire to the call of the loons across the lake, we loved every moment. For a future visit, we would do a better job of researching restaurants…hours and availability did not always match the websites. We appreciated the communication from the owner and manager. And, we thought the coffee supplies, plastic bags, foil, bug spray supplies were the best. The shower products were posh, too. We were so sad to leave. Thanks for the beautiful experience.”

“Fern & Moss is the house I wished I lived in! What a beautiful location on a quiet lake, easy drive to Minocqua for restaurants, activities, and necessities. The house design is straight from a magazine, if you love A frames like we do, this one is so well done! Every possible kitchen tool and appliance is provided and in excellent condition. The linens were luxurious, the hot tub was clean and spacious, even the fire pit, it was clear attention to detail was maintained. Even the coffee table books were perfectly selected and enjoyed by both of us. If we journey to the North Woods again, we most definitely will be back.”
