“Fern + Moss is truly a magical place. I’m a pretty particular person when it comes to picking a place to stay, and this truly was the BEST AirBnb we’ve stayed in! The home is spotless and beautifully designed, the lake views are stunning… it’s so private but close to Minocqua for anything you need. Our favorite places we visited were Blink Bonnie’s (always a fav!) and Lida’s for breakfast. On the flip side - if you want a true “do nothing” type of stay, this is also perfect. We found ourselves sitting on the expansive deck much of the day just appreciating the nature around us, We are already planning to come back! Thank you for a wonderful birthday vacation!”

“Quiet little cove on the Eagle chain, very nice fire pit, and well maintained inside. If you bring a boat, I recommend launching from the Boat Sport Marina, which is almost within eye shot of the home. $10 launch fee is reasonable given the proximity. The closest public access on Scattering Rice Lake is not maintained and frankly should be closed even to canoes and kayakers.”

The hosts are fantastic and thoughtful, always providing all the essential amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It is, without a doubt, the absolute perfect spot for a Northwoods weekend away.”

“David was a wonderful host! Very thorough and great communication through email and text. The lake house was older (and all that that implies) but it was spacious with ample linens, updated bathrooms and the surroundings were incredible (bald eagles and a lake full of gorgeous perch, bass and pike). We truly loved spending time on the lake, on the deck and sitting around the fire!”
