Blue Maple in Great Cacapon, West Virginia

“This was a very nice home. It is very private. The porch is very large and it’s a good place to have coffee and eat meals. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies . We did not use the hot tub or bbq grill. The inside of the house was spacious and beautiful. I brought my dog with me, and I felt comfortable having her off leash because it was so private (there are neighbors, but you cant see them from the house) There were a lot of deer on the property. The beds were very comfortable!”

“The trees need trimmed down some to be able to really enjoy the view that the cabin can give you. The area is really nice but the outside grounds could be attended to some. The hot tub needs some work done to it. The cabin is old and could use some updates but that didn’t really bother us. 4:00 check in seems a little late and having to pay $80 extra dollars for 2 extra hours on top of what you already paid was a little much. Overall it wasn’t really what we expected but we still enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a rustic cabin this is it. Still giving it a 4/5 because we did enjoy our stay!”

“This cabin is nice and rustic. It’s at a good location close enough to town, but far enough away to be private and quiet. The property is in need of some basic maintenance around the house, the deck has nails popping out, and the “view” is missing because of tree overgrowth. The owner should maintain driveway/pathways around the house as there are a fair amount of rocks that are trip hazards. There is hard water in these parts as expected but the bathroom could use some deep cleaning/updating.”
