“Exceeded our expectations . Very cute cabin with more amenities than we expected - toiletries, handsoap in every bathroom, plenty of towels- even beach towels for the hot tub! Great firepit area with Adirondack chairs and the kitchen was one of the best stocked Airbnb kitchens I have seen. The record player and guitar were really fun as well as the well stocked book shelf. There are also history books about the area and plenty of guidebooks. True, the sound travels between the bedrooms, but that was not a problem for my family. We had a great time hiking at Blackwater Falls state park and would definitely stay here again!”

“This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway. It was very modern and cozy. We really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. This cabin is close to others, but it is very quiet and the trees around the property makes it feel much more secluded. We would stay again.”

“We were disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the house. The basement smelled very moldy and some of our party are allergic to mold. There were excessive checkout requests. While they asked us to wash a load of laundry, there was no detergent provided. There was a window on the third floor which did not have a screen, and it popped out easily when opened. Trash was expected to be dropped off at a location away from the property. We were asked to provide our own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and soap.”

“This was a lovely place to stay, walkable to a beautiful Riverwalk and local businesses and restaurants. Very dog friendly and the fenced in back yard was great!”

“We had a wonderful time at the Bear Cub retreat. The location was perfect for what we wanted to see and do. We hiked Seneca Rocks, Bald Knob and explored Blackwater State park. We had read several negative reviews about the check out process. I would disagree. It was simple and easy and we did not need to take our trash to a separate location. The home was clean and private. If we are ever back in the area I would stay here again.”
