Very nice place and beautiful view in the heart of downtown and 1 minute walk from the Public Market. The place was super clean and very well equipped. Front desk for the tower were very friendly. Would definitely book this place again for staying in Seattle. Only downside is the communication with the Vacasa was not helpful neither responsive

Overall it was ok but some key issues: 1- the upstairs is so much warmer than downstairs and if you like to cool while sleeping this would be a problem 2- smoke detectors wouldn’t stop beeping as they couldn’t connect. I messaged the host for support and got a call asking us to take them down and replace the batteries which didn’t help at all. The host offered a 1 night refund and we only got $50. Other than that the property was great close to so many different places to go to eat , walk, and visit.

The best thing this place has going for it, is that it is an incredible, private, wooded lot on a hill. The outdoors, and generally, the architecture of the home is lovely. That being said. the house needs a ton of work. Beds are very uncomfortable, as are sofa and chair in living room (poor quality), there is a severely musty smell inside that lingered on all of our clothes. and the home lacks the kind of details that separate a mediocre rental from a great one. The shower curtain was dirty (inside and out), there was no toilet paper in the house and when we tried to contact the host it took over 4 hours and then they argued with us, there were no condiments, there are lots of cobwebs and dust, the housekeeper left a full load of dishes in the dishwasher we were required to unload. That kind of thing. It's really unfortunate, because the house, otherwise, could be so great. But bad, corporate, property management destroys everything beautiful, it seems.

Pros: the area was an easy 5 min walk to the train station but also to restaurants, bars & shopping. Great spot to explore Capitol Hill by foot. House was so cute and decorated really well! The place has multiple locks so it did feel pretty safe. Cons: no AC (this is disclosed but not super evident, we didn’t notice until we showed up and it was hot), bathroom showers do not drain well at all, when you chat with the host it is an auto response/ AI thing. We did have to wait about an extra hour to get into the home because they were behind and the host did not accommodate with a later checkout or anything, so room for more accommodating hospitality on management side.

The carriage house is perfect for two people. Full size bathroom, kitchenette, and lofted bed. We were three people, and in order to fold the sofa bed out, you have to move the furniture and need to fold it up each day in order to move around the space. Also we reached out early bc we knew we’d be arriving late in the day, to ensure sheets would be available, which Vacasa confirmed. However, upon arrival there was only one sheet, no pillowcases and the blanket was stained. They brought sheets the next day, but we were disappointed it wasn’t ready as expected for the first night. If you stay during the summer, the loft gets quite warm, so recommend opening the windows to get a cross breeze. There is a fan in the space also. The location is perfect, and the alley access feels very secluded, but walkable to restaurants, ice cream, coffee and grocery.
