“The location was great. Spectacular views of the canal. Nice neighborhood. The bathrooms were updated nicely. Kitchen was nicely stocked. However, the beds were not acceptable. Mattresses old and ill shaped. One room the mattress has visible depressions. Unable to get a good nights rest. Very disappointing given the rest of the place. Zero stars for bed accommodations. A real bummer. Otherwise great spot!”

“Extremely quiet and peaceful surroundings. All you can hear is the occasional bird chirping. We really enjoyed a relaxed and peaceful time in this house. Very clean and beautiful house, well stocked kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. BEAUTIFUL deck and rocking bench. The team is responsive and helpful. Thank you!”

“This was an unpleasant stay for us. Quotes from other reviews of this place sum it up for us, and we wished we would have taken them more seriously. “This place was very grubby.” “The water has an unpleasant smell akin to rotten eggs, so be prepared.” “Unfortunately, this place is in desperate need of a good scrubbing & some new furnishings.” “…everywhere you looked up there were cobwebs, & some of the furniture was stained & dingy.” “We ran into issues with the management company with regards to the cleaning staff standards.” “The chairs had stains.” Additionally, we found multiple mentions about the discomfort of beds upstairs. We also had carpenter ants in the house. We wanted to leave but, as others discovered, Vacasa wouldn’t refund us. Vacasa’s response was to give us a cleaning refund (as they have for others). They also sent out someone to tell us how we could flush out the water tank to ease the smell of the well water system. You pay a high price for the nice views.”

“We loved all the character of this place and the amazing view. The beds were so comfortable. Our only complaint was it was so cold and the heating system did little to help. I almost slipped on the deck and was surprised it had not been cleaned of pine needles and leaves.”
