“This cabin in the woods was a great spot to escape fireworks with dogs. The place was comfortable and in a nice location, close to Leavenworth. The only thing we were surprised about and disappointed in was the path to the river. It is riverfront but there are two sets of very steep, old, and narrow stairs that you have to traverse to get to the water. They’re so narrow that I had to hold my arms up while using them because I’m short and the width of my arms and chest wouldn’t fit between the railings. Once you’re there, it’s a nice calm little section of water, but there was no way we were going to get our old dog down there, let alone a cooler or anything else. There are no pictures on the listing to indicate this and if you are unsure on your feet but want to go to the river, I’d advise a different place. The instructions on how to get to the road may also be unclear. While I had no trouble, my other guests took two wrong turns.”
