“Fine place to stay. Convenient to ferry and Bremerton’s downtown. Open the windows in the evening to cool the place off during the summer.”

“My daughter and I booked this rental for two nights while attending a wedding. When we arrived around 5 PM, the thermostat read 84°F. This is a small apartment above the garage of a historic firehouse, and the garage acts like an oven. Despite opening windows, the temperature continued to rise, reaching 86°F by sunset. There were fans, but the unit remained extremely hot and uncomfortable. We barely slept and decided to check out early rather than stay the second night. What frustrated me most was Vacasa’s response. After initially apologizing and saying they would review a refund for the unused night, they later denied it because air conditioning wasn’t listed as an amenity. The phone representative I spoke with was also surprisingly rude and seemed more interested in blaming me for not calling sooner than addressing the actual problem. The issue wasn’t the lack of A/C but an uncomfortably hot rental and poor customer service. I would not stay here again or book with vacasa again.”

“The place is pretty old and had a noticeable musty smell. The layout was a bit strange and not very comfortable for three adults. The bathroom was the main issue — the toilet is in a very tight space, the shower curtain was dirty, the water pressure was weak, and the drain didn’t drain well so water started pooling while showering. Overall it felt overpriced for the condition and could really use some updates and better cleaning.”

“Great place to stay with our little kids. The back yard is huge and when the tide goes out our 4 year old loved stomping in the mud down by the inlet.”
