The cabin was a nice size and accommodated our group well. The view and surroundings were beautiful and enjoyable! The large kitchen and open layout allowed for lots of cooking and hanging out in multiple spots. This mentioned a few things that made us chose this spot, such as lots of fish in the river and a quiet neighborhood and unfortunately both were not true. The river was not fishable due to closed waters, which was not listed on the ad. Additionally our party booked this spot specifically based on the neighborhood noise compliance and not allowing fireworks, however fireworks started early in the day and went until 2:00 am. I understand it's out of the host's control what the neighborhood does, but the listing shouldn't explicitly state having a neighborhood noise agreement as we would've chosen a different location due to our preferences for a quiet space.

The inside of the house and the bedding were clean, which we appreciated. However, there were several issues during our stay. There was not enough toilet paper or paper towels provided for a group of six, so we had to purchase our own supplies. The dishwasher was not working, which meant we had to wash all of our dishes by hand. There were also not enough forks and spoons for our group. The Wi-Fi connection was extremely weak and unreliable. The internet speed was so poor that we were unable to stream Netflix or use other online services consistently during our stay, which was very inconvenient. The outdoor area was disappointing. The patio furniture was old, worn out, and covered with cobwebs. The hammock shown in the listing had been removed and was unusable. The lawn was overgrown and poorly maintained, and we had to sweep leaves off the deck ourselves. The barbecue grill was very dirty, so we were unable to use it and ended up cooking our food over a charcoal fire instead.

Pros: Great location right on the river: quiet, peaceful, and scenic. Hot tub was very clean, most of the interior spaces were clean. NOT pros: Outside was a mess: landscaping not maintained, hammock torn and dirty, deck chair dirty, cobwebs at entrance and all over outside of house; it needs pressure-washing. The door lock is tricky: you have to enter the numbers really quickly or it times out. It took multiple tries before I could get it to open. Home heating instructions are not up-to-date: they said to use the knobs on the baseboard heaters to heat the rooms, except that the knobs on them had been removed.

The overall stay was great, we went to Steven's for snowboarding and it was only 20 minutes out. the hot tub worked great and the lake right outside the house is absolutely beautiful. There was a small issue with one of the showers not mixing water properly but besides that great stay!
