“Excellent location , kids enjoyed a lot”

“We chose this Airbnb despite the negative reviews and regret that decision. The property was filthy. We found dead bugs on the comforter in the bedroom, inside cabinets, and live bugs throughout the house. It was far beyond what anyone should expect, even for a riverfront property. In fact, several of the same bugs ended up in our luggage & were discovered after we returned home. The house showed obvious signs of neglect. There were cobwebs on the ceilings filled with dead insects, mold in the bathroom, dirty walls, and cabinets that had clearly not been cleaned. Many of the dishes were dirty. The yard was covered with ant hills, making it unpleasant to use, and the volleyball court was essentially unusable. What’s most frustrating is that many of these issues were mentioned in reviews. Based on the hosts’ responses, we believed the problems had been addressed. They had not. The condition of the property was so poor that we chose to leave a day early rather than continue our stay.”
