Vacay Away in Massanutten, Virginia

“Great home for a large group right in the heart of Massanutten! ~5-15 minutes from Massanutten activities, 15 to Elkton and other towns with restaurants, and 30 to Harrisonburg and some parts of Shenandoah National Park. The home is split on four floors and bedrooms are decent size with at least one full bath per floor — it worked well for our group of 12 adults + a few small children. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes / cookware needed and some other basics (e.g., seasonings). The sauna and hot tub were a lovely addition, even in summer!”

“We had a great time celebrating my birthday with our group of friends and two dogs! There was so much to do inside the house and we really loved taking advantage of the pool table, sauna, and hot tub, as well as the gorgeous kitchen for lots of home cooked meals. We will definitely recommend their spot in the future!”

“This house is very, very... vertical? You have to walk up several flights of stairs just to get to the main entrance with the kitchen, and there are floors beyond that. Be aware there are no large gathering spaces, despite its gargantuan size. Lots of rooms comfy for 5-6 people to gather in, but no more, and sound carries between floors a lot more than you might expect. The house managers were responsive, but broken and missing supplies were an ongoing low level irritant our entire stay. In a house with 5.5 bathrooms, only two rolls of toilet paper. No coffee grinder, the coffee maker was broken. No dishwasher soap, so we had to wash dishes by hand, but oops there were no dish towels, and on and on it went. The hosts would offer to deliver the items, but their turnaround time is "sometime later today or tomorrow", so I ended up making like ten Instacart deliveries in four days. 🫠 We also had to carry all our trash out. Beautiful place, though.”

“Beautiful property”

“The house easily accommodated 8 adults, 3 children and 3 dogs and came with a well equipped kitchen. It was also very close to all Massanutten Adventure park and surrounding amenities. Everyone had a great time and was very impressed with the house. The only drawbacks were that it did seem a little pricey compared to other large properties we have rented in the past, there was no large outdoor trash can and did not have a pet friendly yard. To be fair, the house info did disclose that you had to go to the community dumpsters to dispose of the trash but a large can to securely store trash bags would have been helpful. In the end it was a fun vacation for everyone and all said that we should do this again.”
