“My two Aussies & I spent the month of August at the Red Roof Cottage w/ sets of adult kids, niblings, and siblings driving down from DC for long weekends. Fortunate to have truly spectacular weather. Bright sunshine, almost a daily thunderstorm, which passed within an hour or less. Truly mild temps for August. The cottage & the property met every representation made & all of my expectations. Check-in was a breeze. Upon arrival, the cottage was immaculate and well provisioned w/ essentials in a welcome basket, under the sinks and in the cabinets. Excellent air-conditioning with zones in each bedroom & the great room; but it was mild enough for just the ceiling fans @night. Comfortable layout & furnished appropriately both inside & on the deck. Made good use of the large Blackstone griddle. Covered dock was a great place to hang & launch the boat for daily fishing trips and nighttime cruises to lakefront restaurants. Good use made of 2 provided kayaks. Lovely & memorable! Thanks!”

“This was the perfect place for a mini family reunion! Lots of space, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. We were there over July 4th weekend, which had record-breaking heat, and the AC kept the bedroom in the loft cool and comfortable the whole time - quite a feat! The dock provided perfect views of fireworks, as well as an excellent location for kayaking and fishing. The rental company was quick to communicate and very helpful.”

“Very cute cottage, easy to find with clear instructions on what to bring and was provided and great deck space. Very responsive for questions. The kayaks were great to use as well although it is a bit of a walk to the dock with the neighbors’ being first. Loved the blackstone. There were quite a few spider webs inside, might’ve needed a deep clean but other than that we had a great time and would recommend!”
