The place is in a beautiful location but the water issue was horrible. Despite being told to bring your own water I did not expect it to be as bad as it was. I couldn't use it to shower or even use it to wash my hands..it smelled THAT bad! I went out and bought everything disposable plates, cups, forks, etc. The smell was like a sewer and the entire house smelled from it. Vacasa was excellent with their response.

The location is amazing, and the property is as well! We had a great time, taking advantage of the easily-accessible lake and very bikable roads on the island. The cabin was clean and not cluttered. Make sure to bring your own water for drinking and cooking.

The plan was to be on the water. As it turned out, we stayed the week after some Vermont towns flooded. Lake Champlain water was high; there was less “beach,” but it was still lovely. ‘Bird’s Nest” is more a home than camp. I am glad we brought groceries as I didn’t want to take long drives for meals. Kitchen was great. We were five: me and 4 teen grandkids. There are 4 beds, enough wi-fi, the bathroom a little small. This place fit what we wanted: a calm, beautiful, comfortable place to be together.

this place is a fraud. should be taken off the market. there is a creepy yellow house attached to the "cabin" which was the rented out part. there was a trap door leading up in the kitchen that anyone would walk right in. the house is listed as a 5 bed and is only 4 bed. 2 beds are in the loft. the bathroom reeks of urine and is so small you can't even take a bag in with you. there was mice dirt in the dishes in the kitchen and old spices in the cabinets.

Me and my boyfriend arrived late in the day of check in. Around 11pm. The property is pitch black and I wasn’t sure were to go for a few. Final found the key, went upstairs and went to bed. The beds are all full size and not comfortable at all. The next morning we were trying to figure out the heating situation. Turns out, there’s NO heat. The only heat sources are two space heaters (small ones). One of which doesn’t stay on and the other blew a fuse. The shower situation is the absolute worst. Mold all over disgusting yellow/brown stained shower curtain and shower mat. Hot water didn’t last for more that 3 minutes. Dirty towels dirty kitchen counters and spoon holders. Absolutely so disappointed for three nights last we paid $955 we left the morning after we got there because it was 50 degrees and rainy. Again no heat. First time we’ve gone away since summer 2019 and this is what’s out there. Disgusting, dilapidated, dump. I wish I could post pictures because the bathroom is so shocking. I got in touch with someone from the company that represents the property. She was very sweet and I emailed pictures and pretty much said to her exactly what’s here. That was the morning after we arrived and decided to leave. It’s now 3 days later and no one has reached out to us.
