“The home was not as clean as we expected. The toilets were dirty, the kitchen trash can lid was covered in grime and the baseboards in the bathrooms needed attention. One of the beds only had a mattress protector instead of a fitted sheet, which didn't feel sanitary. The biggest issue was that our daughter cut her foot on something sharp on the stairs. We immediately notified the host about both the cleanliness and safety concerns and even offered to provide photos. While they responded, they ultimately declined to offer any refund or compensation, including reimbursement of the cleaning fee, despite the condition of the property and the injury. We understand that things can sometimes be missed, but we expected the concerns to be taken more seriously. I hope this review helps future guests know what to expect and encourages the host to improve the cleanliness and address the safety hazards before welcoming more visitors.”
