“The home itself was beautiful, and we were really looking forward to a relaxing family getaway. We specifically chose this property because of its appearance and amenities, and we were willing to pay a higher price for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, our stay did not meet our expectations. Our biggest disappointment was the pool. We were assured it would be cleaned and ready before our arrival, but that was not the case. What frustrated me most was the lack of accountability. Rather than acknowledging the issue, the explanation seemed to shift blame toward guests staying in the neighboring unit. However, those four gentlemen arrived the same day we did, and when we spoke with them, they confirmed they had not used the pool. I would have appreciated the host simply taking responsibility instead of making excuses. We also encountered dead bugs inside the property. Although they were not alive, the home should have been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.”

“Location is great! Close to the beach and walkable to two restaurants. The condo…. Needs work. It was squeaky clean, the beds were decent, lots of towels. But the toilet doesn’t want to flush and is a big problem. The host literally has a plunger next to the toilet. Key pad at the gate was unreliable. Living room blinds are not in good condition/broken. Air conditioner does not run cold. Luckily we were here during cool weather. In the summer this would be a huge issue. Washing machine wasn’t working, but host was quick to send someone to repair it. You get what you pay for.”

“Clean, spacious home in a quiet neighborhood with nice pool. Was so disappointed that no “beaching stuff” was available at the home. Everytime we’ve stayed at a beach house there are a few beach chairs at the least but usually chairs, some sandcastle toys, an umbrella, beach towels, etc. NOTHING here. I received a text from a beach supplies rental company a couple days before saying I had $100 credit for my stay but didn’t think much of it. By the time we arrived at 6pm on our check in day and realized there we no beach chairs at the house I put in an order for 3 beach chairs. Because I didn’t order before 2pm, the order would not arrive the next day but sometime before 6pm the following day, almost two days into our trip. We went a bought a couple chairs and toys for the kids. We flew to South Padre, we couldn’t have travelled with all that, nor do we have beach chairs and beach toys where we live. It’s crazy how much this disappointed me. We had to leave everything we bought.”

“Great place for families who like privacy and have little ones. Enjoyed that all rooms had bathrooms. However, kitchen countertops and beds had pet hair. We had to clean in order to feel comfortable. We also had an incident with the fire alarm in the middle of the night while we were sleeping the alarm went off. We think it may have been caused by the tenant in condo A. Definitely gave us a scare.”

“Nice place to stay was right on the beach and the house is spacious and will comfortably accommodate eight adults and 4 children. The bedrooms all had their own bathrooms and TVs, which is hard to find. We didn’t use the pool much due to the weather but the hot tub was great and self-controlled, which was also very nice. Overall location is fairly good and within walking distance of restaurants. The home is showing some wear as the balcony door would not open, showers pressure was a trickle and the a/c is very loud and the air is not as cool as expected. Also, the stove top is induction and did not work well and oven took a while to get hot, and there were no oven mitts to be found other than that kitchen is stocked well. Communication with SPI is ok, they send you texts and messages via app, yet you cannot respond using these methods or they just don’t answer, you have to call directly with any questions or concerns, which is a bit inconvenient.”
