It’s a hidden gem in Seguin, Texas! The cabin is a good size for six people, with great AC and good ventilation. My friends and I really enjoyed the seating areas on both the front porch and back patio, especially for dining and relaxing. The kitchen is small but it has everything we needed. The game room could use some updating and may need to be a little bigger to comfortably accommodate more people. The creek for kayaking is shared with the other cabin properties across the way. I received instructions and passwords for getting and returning the paddles, but the lady in the office said this wasn’t necessary and that we could simply use the available kayaks and paddles by the creek. The pool is a good size, although I imagine it can get pretty crowded during peak season. We stayed Monday to Tuesday, so thankfully it wasn’t crowded at all. Overall, we had a very nice experience and would definitely come back again! Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

One thing to consider when booking is that this is glamping, so it’s good to set your expectations accordingly. Upon arrival, check-in was easy and welcoming. The dining table was dirty/sticky, and the bed sheets had some stains. Luckily, we always travel with extra sheets, wipes, and our own towels, so we were prepared. We traveled with adults only and mainly chose this place for the water and kayaks. The kayaks are free to use, which was a great perk, but they are shared with other guests. Some people left them out in the water instead of putting them away, so we had to go retrieve them ourselves. The environment was peaceful and quiet overall, but there were quite a few kids around, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a more adult or quiet getaway. Overall, we enjoyed our time, especially being able to enjoy the water and kayaks. Just remember that you’re booking a glamping experience, rather than a traditional hotel, and come prepared for that type of stay.
