La Mirage Resort reviews in Port Aransas, Texas

“Very clean. Housekeepers and ground keeper and maintenance do a great job. Staff friendly and polite...helpful. The rooms are large. Very clean. Has elevators if you are not on the 1st floor. Pool and hot tub areas are kept very clean. Enjoyed both. Parking is difficult if you have to part on the inside. Truck hard to get through the columns bit there is additional parking.”

“A great view and location!”

“Had to wait 1.5hrs after check in time to get into our room. Both elevators on our side of the condo building were broken so we had to carry things very far around the entire building to our room. Pools were clean. Recreation room smelled strongly of black mold. Beach was nice but many stairs and no accessible ramp so getting wagon with kids stuff was difficult. Overall it was fun but we wished the building had better maintenance and we could have gotten in upon arriving after our earliest check in time.”

“Overall good experience. The area had really spotty cell service. They unfortunately cut or WiFi the day of check out which was inconvenient to say the least. Should have been able to have service until 11 when checkout was scheduled”

“Unfortunately, this stay fell far below expectations. The biggest issue was the lack of communication from the host. At check-in time we received no response or instructions on how to access the unit and were left completely in the dark. We only got inside after luckily running into an employee at the property after hours. Otherwise, I genuinely do not know how we would have entered the apartment. Once inside, there was a strong musty smell. The floors looked clean at first glance but were actually very dirty, dusty, and sandy. We even had to use our child’s wipes to clean the areas where we were sleeping. Basic cleaning tools like a broom or mop were also unavailable. The beds in both rooms creaked loudly with every small movement and felt like they were falling apart. My wife and I ended up sleeping on the floor with extra blankets and pillows we brought for ourselves and our 1-year-old. Lastly, the host never responded to requests for Wi-Fi information either.”
