It was good, just a lot of rules and communication.

The house itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, and there were plenty of towels for our group. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that impacted our stay. The biggest concern was the large number of fleas in the yard. Within minutes of taking our puppy outside, we found multiple fleas on her and ultimately had to keep her off the grass for the remainder of the trip. We were also disappointed that propane for the BBQ was not provided and that the grill’s igniter did not work. Additionally, basic supplies such as salt, pepper, trash bags, and dishwasher pods were very limited for a home that accommodates larger groups. Overall, the home itself was nice, but for the price, we expected better maintenance of the outdoor areas and a more adequate supply of basic household essentials.

The photos were deceiving, what you would say 'putting lipstick on a pig'. It wasn't terrible, but definitely much older and less maintained than the photos. Tons of rules taped all over the house (even in the tv remote tray). The waterfront view was basically nonexistent due to greenery overgrowth. The king size bed basically takes up the whole room, no headboard, so the extremely flat pillows just slid down in between the bed and wall. The shower wasn't draining, my husband ended up pulling out a massive hair ball. The dishwasher leaked and the overhead microwave didn't work so there was an additional microwave on the counter taking up what minimal space there was. We did reach out about the shower and dishwasher. Communication was weird as we would get multiple messages through Airbnb and then MULTIPLE text messages per day - all with conflicting information. Overall, it wasn't the worst we've stayed in - but we will not be returning.

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and experienced a serious security issue. We were given a code to access our yurt, but later discovered another guest had been assigned a different code that also unlocked our door. While we were away, they were able to enter the yurt and saw our belongings before realizing there had been a mix-up. We had valuables inside, including family heirloom jewelry and personal items, and no longer felt safe for the rest of our stay. We ended up sleeping with a chair against the door because we were unsure who else might have access. I contacted the owner after our stay to report this concern, but after a few weeks I have yet to receive a response. Because this issue remains unaddressed, I felt it was important to share my experience.
