“We had a great stay and were over all happy with the place. Great lake access! The yard was overgrown and the outdoor area could have been swept or blown off before we arrived.”

“This was a very nice place! One of the bedrooms had a comforter that was tattered and needs to be replaced immediately. It makes the bedroom look shabby. The bathroom with the tub also had some issues with clogging the entire time that we were there.”

“We were there to be near the hospital because of a sick family member. It was located very conveniently to the hospital and stores and food places. It was older than the photos looked but clean and the beds were comfortable.”

“First off, everyone at New Braunfels Escapes was amazing! They were always attentive, answered my questions directly, and I never had to wait days for a response. They made the overall booking experience great, and we will definitely book with New Braunfels Escapes again. We have stayed at both Camp Warnecke Estates and Inverness many times over the years. We absolutely love this area and come back two or three times a year, so we are very familiar with these properties and what to expect. Unfortunately, this particular unit was a disappointment. It felt very outdated and, more importantly, it was not cleaned well before our arrival. The master bathroom shower had so much calcium buildup on the shower head that I had to use a rag to clean it off just to get it to spray correctly. There also appeared to be mold growing in the shower, which definitely needs to be addressed. The TV in the master bedroom did not work properly. The screen glowed pink and there was no sound. “The house is beautiful, it needs lots of TLC, but it has a breathtaking view in the back porch, the way into the river need cleaning and lots of maintaine so that people can have a safe access into the river for it to be enjoyed. The house over all was good for our group, it needs a good deep clean there was lots of dust and spider webs everywhere you would look, even under the eat area chairs, the sofa couch in the living was dirty and even had spider eggs inside when be attended it. The buck-bed bathroom needs fixing, water would come out of the shower area out the bathroom since the glass doors don’t close well. The pool is nice, but way way smaller that you expect it to be. Other than that the location is perfect, close to shops, restaurants and river activities.”

“Beautiful home right on the water. For the price, management provides inadequate supplies for the length stay and guest count (dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels). Found dirty underwear (not ours) on our bedroom windowsill at check in.”

“The house itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils, and there were plenty of towels for our group. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that impacted our stay. The biggest concern was the large number of fleas in the yard. Within minutes of taking our puppy outside, we found multiple fleas on her and ultimately had to keep her off the grass for the remainder of the trip. We were also disappointed that propane for the BBQ was not provided and that the grill’s igniter did not work. Additionally, basic supplies such as salt, pepper, trash bags, and dishwasher pods were very limited for a home that accommodates larger groups. Overall, the home itself was nice, but for the price, we expected better maintenance of the outdoor areas and a more adequate supply of basic household essentials.”

“The photos were deceiving, what you would say 'putting lipstick on a pig'. It wasn't terrible, but definitely much older and less maintained than the photos. Tons of rules taped all over the house (even in the tv remote tray). The waterfront view was basically nonexistent due to greenery overgrowth. The king size bed basically takes up the whole room, no headboard, so the extremely flat pillows just slid down in between the bed and wall. The shower wasn't draining, my husband ended up pulling out a massive hair ball. The dishwasher leaked and the overhead microwave didn't work so there was an additional microwave on the counter taking up what minimal space there was. We did reach out about the shower and dishwasher. Communication was weird as we would get multiple messages through Airbnb and then MULTIPLE text messages per day - all with conflicting information. Overall, it wasn't the worst we've stayed in - but we will not be returning.”

“They gave wrong check in instructions. We checked into where they sent A9 however 2 hrs later another family opened the door. Had sent same unit number and door code to them. We were supposed to have A14. Ended up being told would have to move everything, then later said could stay in A9. The lady I spoke with was rude. Stephanie however was helpful and I was told would be compensated for their mix up.”
