My New Braunfels Vacation in New Braunfels, Texas

“Commutation was timely and instructions were clear. Listing states can sleep 6, but apparently you are allowed only one vehicle. Only one parking pass was provided with no other option to even purchase another parking pass, which was not mentioned in the listing. There is a bar across the street that allows you to pay and park. The bar is close, so it’s pretty convenient and definitely a saving grace. Overall, it was a good experience and we had a great time!”

“They did a good job putting lipstick on the pig with these pictures. -The house is NOT on the water it is near the water. It can not been seen from the house. It’s a long walk down a very steep hill. I’m about 45 with bad knees and couldn’t get up and down the “cliff”. So never saw the water it’s covered by trees. -The fridge is a short apartment fridge. The top is covered in dust. I was going to boxed food on top of fridge to free up some counter space, but wasn’t able to. -The WiFi is very weak. There is no signal in the primary bedroom. So no tv, I sleep with the tv on. 😭🤪 -The patio furniture is old, dirty and needs new cushions. We chose this place because of the water & patio. I wanted to relax & work while kids and husband played. But patio was extremely uncomfortable. -The decor is literally just thrown up. Probably went down to the thrift store and just put it wherever. Nothing matches and is hung and put up randomly.”

“Kinda awkward giving negative reviews .. - There's a thick stench of mold the moment you walk in - the towels were all moiste, most likely contributing to the mold problem - the sheets on one bed clearly had someone else sleeping in it before we were, without changing the sheets. It's hard falling asleep knowing that. It had someone else's smell, and there was a clear "body print" in the sheets and pillow - multiple sticker berrs found in another bed, waking us up at 2am to sharp poking pains The location was excellent, so there is a positive. There are neighboring Airbnb that don't have issues. I'd recommend those.”

“The river access is awesome, and the view from the deck is beautiful. Be ready for a lot of river traffic and music noise from nearby bar. Great for a group ready for a fun tubing experience.”

“House was clean but couches did have some pet fur on them maybe from previous guests as it is a “pet friendly” establishment. The location was overall good but the whole complex is a little further away from the river than expected. As far as the unit itself, everything was great. Only downside is the parking. Someone who wasn’t staying at the complex parked in our spot overnight and due to it being after hours I was told to just park in the flow over parking. There are no tow companies that routinely come and tow, they even gave me the number to the tow company (they didn’t call themselves) and I called and they said they would come out and never did.”
