My New Braunfels Vacation

“The condo had everything we needed for our stay. Towels, bathroom and kitchen necessities. We had minor issues that we addressed with the hosts which did not interfere in our enjoyment. Water park is very close. The river that runs on the back of the condo is really nice but you have to bring your tube if you want to float. There’s also the Cypress Bend park nearby where you can picnic and stay by the river. Its $20 by car. We walked on the little path by the river. We had a good time overall. Gruene is a must see. We ate at Gritsmill by the river and had pizza at Inferno’s (delicious). Tacos&tequila is great too. In new Braunfels we ate at Old City Hall, really beautiful inside.”

“My family of 5 stayed here for a few days and had a pretty good experience. It was a little tight with 2 teenagers and a preteen but we spent most of the time out of the condo so it wasn’t a big issue. Kitchen space is pretty tight if you plan on doing much cooking. Lower water pressure in the kitchen - including dishwasher so be sure to pre wash dishes pretty thoroughly! Beds were very comfy, access to the pool and river was a huge plus. Careful trying to pull under the building. Larger SUVs wont fit. We found out the hard way! 🤪”

“We thought we would be able to swim in the river behind the house. The water was muggy.”

“At first glance, this room looked exactly like the pictures, so you see what you get. I would say it’s comparable in size to a hotel room. Mini fridge in the room. We did find a dead cockroach on the floor near the restroom. It was right next to a private exit for a Texas Tubes and close to last exit for the Comal. The only amenities is a private access to the river. Some of the walkway down to the river needs to be updated as there is bits missing on the rails. Overall, we thought this was a great location easy drive to multiple restaurants, or short trip for an uber.”

“Great place. Only complaint was no salt/pepper shakers and not enough toilet paper for a group of 7.”

“Enjoyed the use of the condo with the family. Only two complaints. The toaster needs to be cleaned. It smoked while in use and the door for the patio sticks on top.”

“House is on a private road with signs warning off visitors. Host threated with private towing company and external cameras for having more than 3 cars. No events or parties allowed by the rules. No river access even though its billed as a river house. The front and back lawn was over grown forcing us to stay inside most of our visit. The master bathroom shower curtain was full of mold on the bottom 1/4. no blinder. Kitchen light fixture was unfinished with exposed wiring, bedroom has patch holes without paint, front door knob was falling off, rear door knob was sticking and hard to open. This property has been neglected and for the price is very disappointing.”

“Ideally a great location. House had an interesting smell, beds were very uncomfortable, and overall not very nice.”

“Facility could have been cleaner, front pool was very small. There was loud music and talking after the posted hours. The area was not as described on the website and the photos were misleading.”

“The electrical outlet in one of the bathrooms did not work. The shower controller in one of the bathrooms didn’t work properly. You either couldn’t get hot water or it was so hot you couldn’t get into it. The grill kept throwing error codes and cutting off. The back porch was covered with so much dust and grime we had to wipe everything down before we could use. For the house being in the water as an attraction the ladder to enter the river was in bad shape and has very sharp and dangerous areas on the bottom of it.”
