“Fantastic house! Just what we were looking for to host our extended-family vacation. Boat dock was in great condition and easy to access with kids using the stone steps. Stone around the pool has started to crumble but the pool liner is new, the water was crystal clear, and the kids had loads of fun using the pool and hot tub when they weren’t in the lake. Rooms and bathrooms were very spacious, very clean. The six queen-sized bunkbeds, each with their own overhead lights might’ve been our favorite part of the whole house. The host was very responsive when I had a couple of questions. Kitchen was well-stocked with essentials for cooking. The only downside which wasn’t a huge deal for us, but might be a deal-breaker for some was the cockroaches. Over the course of a five day stay, we killed about 10 roaches in the house.”

“This is a great spot if you have a boat and want to easily access your boat since there’s a dock. Getting to the dock isn’t the safest for kids as the steps are steep and directly in the sun. Easy access to the marina for gas and ice. I like how there was minimal check out tasks (just sheets on bed and towels). The only downside side is the house needs more upkeep. There weren’t a lot of cups that were meant for outside, the dishwasher didn’t clean well, the pots and pans are severely worn, didn’t have some basic utensils like a can opener or foil. But luckily HEB is close by. They don’t have check out instructions on Airbnb and only in booklet. I was met by the host upon check out and said I should have texted the property manager that was in the booklet. Which I just communicated through Airbnb and thought it was strange to do that. I’d recommend keeping all communication on the platform you book at so there’s a record of it. Felt a bit odd to me. Other than that it’s a great”

“The $500 cleaning deposit, but yet you have to clean & take out the trash. Upon arrival a “inspector was there finishing the cleaning/ laundry so had to wait. She informed us the WiFi wasn’t working, was trying to troubleshoot, & picking up laundry since cleaners were late. We walked the property to inspect ourselves & immediately the house was dusty, smelled of mold & pee. Food still stuck to counters. Exposed wires (we have kids) 11 filled trash bags, smelled horrid & the amount of flies. Floors had not been cleaned, Trash left in the pool & all around, that we cleaned. Blankets in house dirty, only changed the sheets & pillowcases, comforter with red all over it. only 1 tv worked out of 6 but wifi never worked. 1 man arrived to fix hot tub no warning given & we have kids & house is all windows, we couldn’t enjoy for 2hrs. Renters Club was NOT helpful when expressing concerns, we feel taken advantage of, We wanted a clean & private home & we’re not grated that for the money we paid”
