“This was by far my worst Airbnb experience to date. This home was in a great location and, for the most part, matched the descriptions and pictures. However, there were noticeable water stains throughout the house and I suspect mold was behind the walls and under the drywall where the stains were present. Furthermore, the coffee pot had molded coffee in the filter. It looked as though someone had made a full pot of coffee, cleaned the actual pot but left the grounds in the filter for several weeks. Last but certainly not least, we had no air for the duration of our stay which was 5 days. We reached out to the management day one and got a curated message saying it would be addressed the following day. Day 2-5 we continued to get empty promises from management that a technician would be out to fix the unit but they could never give an ETA. This listing and management company should be blacklisted from the site.”

“The home is very beautiful and close to many places to visit. Our plans had us playing golf at Hermann Park and we were very surprised at how close we were. Our problem was the pet fee. We booked this well more than a month out and noted we had 2 pets, we assumed that the cost included that. After we arrived, we received a note that I guess they were watching Ring and noticed we had 2 dogs that we didn’t tell them about. I sent copy of reservation noting 2 pets. Next day we were told that they hadn’t collected the pet fee, not a deposit but a fee of $244 dollars. Had we known it was that much up front, we would have chosen somewhere else. We stayed in 3 other Airbnb during this trip and not one charged a pet fee. We were very disappointed, transparency in ads is very important.”
