“The house was cute, clean, and tastefully decorated without feeling cluttered. We appreciated the beach towels that were provided. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an issue with access to the Pointe West Beach Club. We were notified just two hours before check-in that there was “an issue” with the wristbands required to use the pools, restaurant, game room, and other amenities—one of the main reasons guests choose to stay in Pointe West. After arriving, we learned from Pointe West management that the property had lost Beach Club access due to unpaid HOA dues and that this had been known for several weeks. We were disappointed that neither the owner nor Airbnb updated the listing or notified us sooner, as the listing still implied access to these amenities. Thankfully, the Pointe West staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and we are very grateful for their kindness.”
