“The listing advertises 5 bedrooms, but the fifth "bedroom" is a mattress on the floor of a windowless third-floor alcove with a sloped ceiling, next to an open toilet and sink — none of which appears in the listing photos, and it wasn't usable for the adults in our group. Housekeeping missed a bathroom: used towels and a used washcloth were left out, with no clean ones stocked. Many items had dead or dying batteries — the door keypad, a garage remote, fan and TV remotes, and the gate lockbox at checkout. Hot water slowed to a trickle on our last evening, and we found water pooled on the garage floor with staining and peeling on the ceiling below the master tub. The outdoor play structure had wood rot; the climbing wall's top beam pulled loose while our toddler was on it. The location near Kemah Boardwalk is convenient and the lake path is pretty, but the accuracy and upkeep didn't match the listing. We reported everything promptly; responses were slow and ultimately dismissive.”
