“The cabin was a very basically built, "landlord special" cabin with a "first apartment" feel. We were pleased to find the cabin very clean & inviting with a very cold AC in Texas July/Aug heat. It has a great layout & sleeping arrangements for our large family. All in all it was a decent stay but we don't feel like the value was quite there for the amount of money we paid. Especially after comparing cabins and prices with our family members who booked a few streets over for a fraction of the cost and double the quality of accommodation. Then the communication! 😡 As owner/ABnB operators ourselves I don't think that I can stress enough how horrible the communication is! AI generated. They bombarded us w/spam, and garbage upsells we had to sift through to get any pertinent info like address, check in, policies, etc. Additionally, they send some info to the AirBnB thread. Some via text & some to email. Very inconvenient and time consuming to say the least!”

“This home was cleaned and spacious and perfect for our family getaway. We traveled with my husband’s parents, who are in their 80s, his sister, and our kids, and everyone had a wonderful time. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and we loved being able to enjoy ocean views from the deck. Having two refrigerators was also a huge plus, making it much easier to store food and drinks. The only downside was that we did not have access to the elevator, so carrying groceries and supplies up and down the stairs was a work out. Aside from that, we had a great time, enjoyed our stay, and would rent this home again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us.”

“House was nice. TVs didn’t work. Communication with the management company definitely needs some work. I requested to add an additional day to our reservation and no response. Never responded about an early check in. The garage is not as pictured either.”

“This was our 5th year renting on Crystal Beach. We've had issues at other homes (broken washer, AC, etc.) but never left a negative review until now. We increased our budget expecting a better experience, but this home didn't deliver. I had to chase down the entry code after calling disconnected numbers, and the employee was rude. The house was much smaller than the photos suggested. The living room TV didn't work until we found a hidden master switch, and support didn't respond until the next day. Two of the three bedrooms had no TVs, unlike every other beach house we've rented. The "grill" was the cheapest Walmart model. The back doorknob fell off, internet was unreliable, shower heads were old and fixed, and the oven/fridge handles were loose. We requested a late checkout but didn't get a response until after checkout. The cleaners arrived an hour early and watched us pack. Communication and the overall amenities were very disappointing, especially for $500/night.”
