“This was my first-ever Airbnb booking, and unfortunately, the experience became very disappointing. The host started off great and communication was initially pleasant, but once a serious problem occurred, the response and urgency were not what I expected. The central air conditioning stopped working during approximately 100-degree weather. Instead of having the issue repaired promptly, we were provided with only two fans. The house was extremely uncomfortable, and the situation became even more concerning because my elderly father began experiencing heart-related symptoms while we were dealing with the heat. Instead of being able to enjoy my trip, I spent nearly two days trying to get assistance and repeatedly asking for an ETA and the name of the HVAC company that was supposed to come out. I was unable to receive clear answers or timely assistance, because of this experience I would not book with this host again.”

“Upon arrival, the photos did not look anything like the home. The sheets were dirty in one of the rooms. There was no tissue in the bathrooms. We just bought our own. The walls and baseboards were very dirty. There were roaches in the kitchen. We had to place all the food in the refrigerator. The neighbor has chickens that make noise all night. The beds were comfortable but there were only one bed in each room, not two like the photos state in three of the rooms. The curtains are thin and there are no blinds. Some neighborhood kids were shooting fireworks at 11 pm on the first night. There were not enough towels for use. No kitchen towels, just paper towels and hand soap. Air conditioning works well. Was not too happy with the area or the house but I spent my money and made the best of it for the girls. It’s great we always bring our own supplies like bug spray, washing detergent and soap. Will make sure to bring tissue on our next trip.”
