“Our favorite place we’ve visited on Douglas Lake. Absolutely stunning home, beautiful views, beautifully decorated. The large living room windows desperately needed cleaned, but nothing else was noteworthy. Property was otherwise well maintained and had all necessities you’d need. We’d love to return, highly recommend.”

“The Someday Cottage is somehow even better than its photos. The location is super secluded and the view over Douglas lake is absolutely stunning, especially if you are blessed with similar sunsets and sunrises to us. The kitchen and master suite also feel incredibly upscale. To top it off the master suite had the most comfortable bed for a rental we’ve slept on to date. We went in off season for the lake when it is rather drained and it was still gorgeous, I can imagine how lovely this place would be in summer.”

“WE did not have a dishwasher the entire time we stayed there. The dishes & glasses had been hand washed and were still dirty. Upon contacting the host company we were treated like we were idiots. The next day when the repair man arrived he left towels handing over the balcony but was not able to repair the broken dishwasher. Two days later, at 6:00 pm the repair man showed up at our door unannounced to attempt to complete the repair. Five minutes after his arrival we were notified of him coming, though we were not asked if this was good with us. After approx. an hour he stated the washer was repaired and departed but when we attempted to wash the dishes the dishwasher was still broken. My wife is a chef and having a dishwasher is very important to us in our stays. After the dishwasher was not repaired we declined additional assistance and even departed a day early, without any offer of a refund and moved to another place for our last two days. Worst experience we have ever had!!”

“Our can could not make it up the steep gravel driveway. Host was very inconsiderate and told us basically too bad and to park on the road at our own risk. We had booked a few weeks wouldn’t help with solutions and wouldn’t let us out of the future nights. Construction right next door, very rough and steep narrow driveway. Do not recommend unless you have a large suv or lifted truck.”

“This was a cute place! I’m a very particular person with cleanliness which is why I took a star off. The bed linens were stained in places which gave us a little bit of the ick & my personal opinion is the cleaners did a rush job with the floors and whatnot. It was homey though and did have everything we needed. We weren’t able to get in a single minute before 4pm which I usually don’t prefer, but rules are rules. We had an issue with the lock box as well which wasn’t resolved during our stay, but we still were able to get in and out with a code so it wasn’t a big deal. We also wished the lake was nicer, at the time of our stay it barely had any water so it wasn’t as scenic as the pics but I know that’s not the owners fault. It was very quiet and peaceful there despite having a close neighbor on one side (looks like they are starting to build on the other side as well.) All in all it was a good place to stay for our quick weekend getaway.”
