“Great location, cool place”

“Location is 10/10. 30 mins to Mt. Rushmore, 5 mins to Custer, 15ish mins to Crazy Horse. Private and super quiet. Nice area. Safe. Nice views from the deck. Lots of trees. Bedrooms are big. Bathrooms are clean. Beds are comfortable, but sheets in one bedroom were cheap and pilled and uncomfortable. Ended up just taking fitted sheet off. 2nd level TV room is spacious and very comfortable, with nice tv and easy access to the deck. Sat outside for lunch one day, and breakfast the next, but outdoor furniture was very dusty and had to be cleaned off. Lots of windows with screens, and nice views, and it was nice to have them open for a breeze in both living room and bedrooms upstairs. This place could be spectacular, but needs a little attention on the little things to be so. Felt expensive compared to other place I’ve stayed. Nice that it’s pet friendly, easy to get out for walks in the canyon! Had a nice stay, and would stay again. Custer is a good home base from which to explore!”

“The pictures of this place don’t do it justice! It’s a great house and was absolutely perfect for our three separate families. We were able to claim a floor, room, and hang out together in the common areas. We really enjoyed our stay and found everything we needed and more! My 6, 4, and 3 year old kids decided to take the giant tub room for a spin and felt spoiled with their drinks in hand and swimsuits on. We definitely appreciated all of the towels! We didn’t even need to hit up the pool off site. We managed two meals at this house per day and bedtime snacks of course and were more than happy with all of the appliances and cookware available to use. You’ll definitely get a workout on the stairs but by the end of the weekend, we felt stronger! The awesome part about this house is if you chose to stay on the lower level with the bunk bed room and private bath, you have a living room and kitchen all to yourselves! We would highly recommend this place for your Black Hills stay!”
