“Unfortunately, the condition of this unit did not match what we expected based on the listing or the price we paid. We spent approximately $1,350 for a three-night stay, and immediately upon entering, we noticed a very strong mildew-like odor throughout the unit. The smell was persistent and made the space uncomfortable to stay in. We reported the issue during our stay, and the management team inspected the unit and acknowledged that an odor was present. We were told it was likely due to the age of the property and its location over a crawl space. Regardless of the cause, this is something guests should be made aware of before booking. The unit also appeared worn and poorly maintained in several areas, which was documented in the photos we submitted. We would not have booked this unit had its true condition and persistent odor been accurately disclosed.”

“The location was good and right on the beach. The room itself was dirty and stains throughout(furniture and mattress). The place needs a deep clean! The host did offer the cleaning crew to come and re-clean but we decided to clean ourselves as all of our personal belongings were inside. The check in instructions were completely inaccurate, no keyless check in as stated. We received a text stating a code would be provided once the room was ready, and instead we had to wait in a very long line at the hotel lobby to get key cards. Ocean Annie’s is a fun atmosphere but next time, we will stay elsewhere and walk or drive to visit that location.”

“The house was large enough to accommodate our group. There were a few issues with the dishwasher and ants. Realtor was responsive. It was walking distance to beach and the pier. The 2 pools were great to cool off in and hang out by.”
