“Nice place”

“We notified upon checking that our box spring covers were stained with bed bug remnants and that our tv remotes in master didn’t work. They showed up on day three, changed the one bed we weren’t using, didn’t fix remote and it took two days to come back to change other beds and remote was never fixed. Seemed like cleaners didn’t do a great job. Hairs in bathroom corners, dirty quilts for beds shoved into closets, lightbulbs out throughout, toilet paper holder off of wall, hairdryer plug completely broken in half, ants in master bath and twin room, used Zyn pouches under beds in twin room, very limited amenities in kitchen.”

“Great location just steps from the beach, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. The only downside was the communication with the host. It felt like I was communicating with a bot rather than a person. I requested an early check-in several times, and even getting in an hour earlier than the 4:00 PM check-in time would have been appreciated. At 3:50 PM, while I was already waiting outside, I reached out again and was simply told the property would be released at 4:00 PM. I understand that check-in times are part of the rules, but a 4:00 PM check-in feels quite late and takes away a large portion of the day, especially for guests who arrive early. Better flexibility or more personalized communication would have made the experience much better.”

“Absolutely unreal. Booked this place 3 months ago, paid in full, got all the confirmations, loaded up two families, drove 7 hours, and showed up ready to start vacation… just to be told they “didn’t have our reservation.” Then, instead of fixing it, they canceled our reservation OVER 2 HOURS AFTER CHECK-IN TIME to try and cover it up. We were told someone would reach out. Nobody ever did. We sat around waiting while trying to figure out where our families were going to sleep. Because of their screw-up, we had to pay thousands more for another place, split our families up, stay farther away, check in hours late, lose the kitchen and amenities we planned for, and completely change our vacation. Mistakes happen. I get that. But owning them and taking care of your customers is what separates good companies from bad ones. Sea Star Realty did neither. If you’re thinking about booking with them, Don’t. After this experience, I wouldn’t trust them with a weekend, much less a family vacation.”

“This home is subpar and dirty. There was debris, hairs, and dust all over. A good number of the bedding was stained and clearly not changed before our arrival. The furniture was dirty, ripped, and simply uncomfortable. We brought up the soiled sheets to management and all they did was drop off 2 sheets (they did not change the bedding.) Everything was very old and worn. Lightbulbs were missing, shades were broken, the master bathroom had a rusted shower rod, walls and doors were filthy. We woke up to bugs. There was a spindle missing on the 2nd floor balcony, with exposed rusted nails. This was a major safety issue, especially for young children who easily could fall through the rail. We spent as little time as possible there and left early. We came home and deep cleaned everything. A word of advice; do not rent any property managed by Sea Star Reality and if you do and have problems, file complaint to Airbnb ASAP. No value is placed on guest's satisfaction.”
