“The room was fine -- it was 5 minutes away from a wedding we were in town to attend for one night and it was clean. The photos make it look somewhat bigger than it is -- it's a standard size hotel room -- and it's definitely got some age on it. The shower has a new insert and the commode looked new, but the ceiling is bubbling from what seems like water damage, it could use new paint, the rug had a stain, etc. The woman at the front desk was super-nice. We didn't use any of the amenities. The location is great but if you're used to "nice" hotel rooms this might not be the right spot for you.”

“Overall, this house and location was a win for our family, especially last minute. Things to mention: the golf cart does come with restrictions and can only be driven in the neighborhood between the house and beach. No golf cart access to walking/bike paths. The golf cart was very helpful in getting to/from the beach. The bikes are not in great shape. Two of them had flat tires and definitely lots of rust. You will need to bring your own beach towels. There are currently a variety of beach chairs and an umbrella at the house to use. No cooler. You will need to go outside to access the garage/space below the house. You do receive access to the nearby Litchfield resort for access to their indoor/outdoor pool. Hopefully they will be doing some work to those facilities this winter, as they need updating. The heater for the indoor pool was broken, spa not working, broken windows needing fixed, etc. The outdoor pool did look nice, but unfortunately not warmer enough in October”

“We absolutely loved this place, once we got in. The condo itself was beautiful, even nicer and updated far beyond what the pictures showed. It felt much more cozy and less like a hotel room than the pictures. Also equipped with everything you need. The grounds and resort were beautiful. The pool, lazy river, and kids pool/play area were incredibly relaxing for our crew ages 2,2,4,6,14, and 3 adults! The beach club access was nice and easy. Our only trouble was getting there and checking in. We first went to the wrong location because the directions sent were incorrect. Then, when we did get back to the correct place, we were able to “check in early” and use the bathrooms and pools, but did not get access to our room until after 5:30. We were stuck in the car with 4 very young kids while it stormed until we could finally get in our room. The room itself was incredible, and our stay was so nice, but not sure if we would book again because of the late check in process.”

“Overall lack of cleanliness , bathroom filthy, skimpy frayed and dirty towels and linens, flies in apt. , stinky cigarette smoke wafting up heavily from apt.below patio around the clock each day ( and hotel supposed to be NoSmoking facility !uncomfortable platform mattress ,very noisy a/c, tiny refrigerator, loose toilet seat . Skimpy in room amenities”

“The location was fantastic. We wanted to love the house but there were some major issues while we were there. It was clearly not cleaned well between visits, outdoor furniture was broken, outside doors did not lock (which being next to a public beach access was worrisome). The largest issue was that the bedroom our kids stayed in was infested with fleas. They ended up covered in bites and by the end of the stay the fleas were all throughout the house. Half of our group ended up leaving early because of this. We will not be staying here again and we come to Litchfield every year.”
