“The host was communicative through the booking process and moved us to a larger condo when our original unit was sold. The extra space was appreciated, and the Pac-Man arcade game was a fun surprise that our kids enjoyed. Unfortunately, the condo didn't meet our expectations. While it appeared surface clean and we didn't encounter pests, it needed a much deeper cleaning. There was visible buildup in corners, black mold beneath the master shower caulking, worn linens with some stains, limited kitchenware, and very few starter supplies. After our stay, I shared this feedback privately. The host explained his team is available to address concerns during a stay. While I appreciate his response, our concerns were with the overall condition of the condo. Traveling with two young children, coordinating with extended family, we didn't feel that interrupting our vacation for additional cleaning or another move was a practical solution. We enjoyed Myrtle Beach, but this condo wasn't a fit for us”

“MOLD. Unfortunately we left early as the mold was too much. I understand beach properties in this type of setting can be difficult but there was visible disgusting mold growing out of all the returns. Additionally, the master bedroom closet has dark mold growing over half the ceiling. The AC unit door was locked so it was impossible to examine but I’m sure it’s horrendous. Even my five year-old daughter looked at the vent before we said anything and said that’s disgusting. We sent photos about the mold issue and the host sent a message saying they would send maintenance to check it out. Maintenance showed up while we were gone, entered, sprayed the mold with bleach and scrapped it clean. We messaged back saying the bleach was overwhelming and doesn’t address the problem. The host never really addressed again. Additionally damage the main bedroom floor has two large bumps and chipping flooring makes walking to the bathroom a hazerd, not to mention the breaking shower door.”

“So overall, it was a good stay with cool air, hot showers, and a short walk to the beach with great amenities. However, this unit could definitely use some TLC. There were some broken blinds, the queen bed was hard and uncomfortable, one of the bedroom tvs were unusable, each bathroom only got one roll of toilet paper for a 4 night stay which would’ve been fine if it was a new fresh roll but it wasn’t. We had trouble checking in because we didn’t receive the code and we couldn’t get a response from the host via messaging, we had to call almost an hour after our check in time to get a code. Our first code didn’t work so we had to call again and get another code. Despite everything, we had a good stay and a wonderful time.”
