“I have never left a negative Airbnb review and do not take doing so lightly, but future guests should know about our experience. We saw prior reviews mentioning check-in issues, so I contacted the host several times beforehand and was assured we would receive instructions at check-in. We arrived after check-in time with no instructions and received no response despite hours of calls/messages. We were stuck in pouring rain, our luggage got soaked, and we had to pay for a hotel. The host responded the next day, blaming a system glitch that affected multiple guests. We were then told parking/pool passes would be inside, but they weren't, so resort staff had to help us. That night we found numerous beetles on/around our bed. Pest control came, but we were left sheets to change ourselves. During our 5-day stay I repeatedly asked for a manager to call me, but no one ever did. Mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and follow-up was extremely disappointing.”

“The only things I did not like was waiting until the day for get check in code. I had to call several times to finally get it. This last minute code receipt is unnerving after driving 10 hours. And the lock started messing up before 10 am on departure date. The rest was everything expected and wanted. The pool and small restaurant were great. Staff was friendly. Location near restaurants at Murrels Inlet great. Clean. Great view. Convenient elevators etc. lots of linens and accesories. Would definitely recommend.”

“The condo had comfortable beds and a fully functional kitchen, and the location was great. However, the suite felt dated, and several basics were missing. Coffee filters weren’t provided (even after calling), and we didn’t receive the parking pass or indoor pool code. The master shower also wasn’t very clean. Overall, the stay didn’t feel worth the price.”
