Luxury Beach Rentals

Luxury Beach Rentals's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Many things about the Picture Perfect beach house are ideal. The location is on a quiet, pristine beach; the perfect spot to celebrate a milestone birthday with 10 adults and 2 teens. The house is lovely and except for the office sofa bed, comfortable. The kitchen is a well equipped. Teens enjoyed fast WiFi, game room, smart TVs in every room. However… 1. A few days before our trip, my son discovered the address was wrong! Pix on the listing did not match the Google maps. Panic!! Property management, Luxury Beach Rentals confirmed the error, emailed correct address, but didn’t correct the listing. 2. The hot tub was dirty the and the broken pool skimmer left lots of debris in the pool. Maintenance showed up 3 days later but couldn’t fix the problem. 3. No AC in game room. 4. Rx medication left by previous guest was in the fridge! All issues were reported to Luxury Beach Rentals immediately. Their replies were apologetic, with little, if any effort to fix the problems. Disappointing.

The condo had comfortable beds and a fully functional kitchen, and the location was great. However, the suite felt dated, and several basics were missing. Coffee filters weren’t provided (even after calling), and we didn’t receive the parking pass or indoor pool code. The master shower also wasn’t very clean. Overall, the stay didn’t feel worth the price.

I've been utilizing Airbnb for over 15 years, and this by far has been my worst experience in terms of communication. It needs to be noted upon arrival, the only entry into the building is from the lobby floor. We parked, pulled out luggage only to find that we had to load back up because we could not get in the building door from the 3rd floor parking deck until we got the key card. Nothing in the condo was in it's usual place, so when we arrived I could not find the key cards or extra towels, and every time I contacted customer service, not only did it take 2 hours to respond, but they reply was "we stocked the room and we're not coming to restock," when all I was trying to do was locate the standard issue items. The room was beautiful and the location was perfect, but customer service alone would keep from renting from this company again.

We recently stayed at this Airbnb during a family trip to Myrtle Beach, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we had to wait about 30 minutes to receive the door code, which was frustrating after traveling. However, the biggest issue was the condition of the condo. It was not clean upon arrival. The master bedroom had visible white and yellow stains on the comforter, pillowcases, and sheets, which was extremely concerning. The couch had a hole in it along with red stains, and there were also red marks and what appeared to be dried residue on the walls. The rug in the living room was so dirty that we didn’t feel comfortable walking on it without shoes, and the patio rug looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Given the amount of money spent on this trip, it was upsetting to feel concerned about basic cleanliness and hygiene. We did not feel comfortable using the bedding and had to purchase laundry detergent and wash everything ourselv

Island Vista Beach Resort was beautiful, but this particular, privately owned room was awful. I don't even think this is a legitimate business. What was intended to be a nice weekend with my daughter for her college orientation ended up in myself being sick and having nose bleeds, just to find black mold was being painted over in layers on the walls in several areas, mold in the bathroom, mold on the lampshades that were conveniently turned to face the wall until I did some digging, even found black mold on the mattress protective cover. The room is and was obviously not cleaned by professional cleaners and the paint buckets in the closets and under the bathroom sink were the cutest touch. I've requested a partial refund. I tried contacting Luxury Beach Rentals of Myrtle Beach, but they have no one to speak to, of course.

Let me 1st say, I NEVER leave reviews. But…when we walked in there was a huge roach crawling across the floor as soon as we walked in. Within 30 minutes, there was another one. We needed pillows for the Murphy bed & couch bed, so I messaged them as soon as we got there and EVERY day after that. (5 days) They kept saying they would get back with us. The check in details say they provided towels and linens. There were only 4 bath towels so after that, with our large family, we needed more. They finally told me the day before we checked out that they didn’t provide any extra towels. I told them it was in there policy that they do. This unit (603) has a couch & Murphy bed but doesn’t provide pillows. The unit felt dirty and thick dust was on top of the fridge where we normally put our cereal. I tried to get things we needed from the front desk but they couldn’t help since we booked through Airbnb. Luxury Beach Rentals messaged and said “big or small” let them know what we need. NOT!

The room on the surface seemed ok. Then we got settled and realized a bunch of issues covered up or unmaintained. Floor outlets popping out of the floor with live wires. Mold almost every bathroom, mold in the washrooms from washer leak, tub spouts hanging off, shower doors broken and hanging off, spilled food in front of fridge not cleaned. Then the less severe things I probably should’ve asked about - you get zero amenities of staying in a resort hotel. No extra towels, no trash pick up, no fresh linens, no extra toilet paper. My only regrets is wishing I inspected the unit thoroughly when I walked in. What a dump! Host is super slow to respond, said they were sending technician for major issues and no one ever showed. I’m fighting to get my money back for how badly misrepresented this listing was. If you want pictures send me a message and I’ll provide as proof. Would never recommend this unit or host

Unclear check-in. Communication did NOT occur as advertised. Room for 8 had 1 roll of toilet paper, NO backup. Room had 1 roll of paper towels, NO backup. Internet was terrible and was not private. Kept going in and out. After a day I finally just set my phone up as a mobile hotspot because the provided Wi-Fi was terrible. One blanket for 4 beds. No linens for murphy bed or sleeper sofa. Comode was running every time you flushed, you had to jiggle the handle or take the back off to get it to stop. NO TV channel guide was provided. At least one of the hot tubs had cold water daily and jets weren't working. I've stayed at many many resorts in my 38 years of living in SC and this was by far the worst experience. I likened it to a Motel 6 with a Ritz Carlton price.

This property needs a deep clean. The vents have porous growth, porch rail paint chipping, bath tub appears to be taped in one spot. Bar stools have dirt caked between the wood slots as if they were previously outdoor chairs and brought inside. In addition to these visible issues, prior to check in I didnt receive a welcome email with rental agreement 3 days prior. I had to call on the day of check in 30 mins before 4pm to receive. I was told the door code email would be sent to me in "5 mins" as it was 3:55pm. I had to call when the email did not come through. We received our condo door code at 4:15pm. There were no parking passes in the room. I called to report and never received resolution from the host. I was instructed to put a note in my car dash. We did not receive the indoor pool code until I texted at 5pm to ask for it. 8am hammering began nextdoor to our condo. I messaged the host with photos 25 hrs after check in and received no. Listing images are misleading of condition.

Filthy, fecal stains on sheets, broken furniture, no notice that they were doing renovations next door with jackhammer all day. Location is nice but this was a very unhealthy unit. We were very dissatisfied and disappointed. Would not recommend. Sent pictures to rental agent and was informed that the cleanliness alone was a serious concern, I have heard nothing back from them! This was a week ago.
