“This was a scam, Home was not reserved, property had no record of our reservation. we were left stranded with $300 worth of groceries in our car.”

“we booked a property with this host through Airbnb. Went to check into the property and discovered the host took our money and never booked property. The host did not respond to messages or calls. It was a scam. We had to find last minute new accommodations. Thankfully Airbnb support, Jessa, helped us to recover a refund and said they will investigate this host.”

“I do not recommend booking this apartment through this particular Airbnb host. The host doesn’t communicate with the actual resort reception staff, so we had to call the resort for ALL requests, even simple ones, like asking for a baby crib and updating them that we would be delayed for check in. The host deliberately obstructed us from getting a partial refund for our first night’s accomodation when we explained we were delayed and would arrive the next day. The host replied that it was impossible to edit the booking and get a partial refund for cancellation, even though we were entitled to this. We were flying from Europe to Hilton head and I had patchy access to internet so I couldn’t figure out how to challenge this through the Airbnb platform, so we ended up paying for a full nights accomodation ($160 USD) that we never used PLUS we paid for emergency accomodation in Charleston for the same night. Overall really disappointing accomodation and ended up being very expensive.”

“hele fijne tijd gehad oo Hilton Head Island. appartement was erg fijn en van alle gemakken voorzien. het was er heerlijk rustig bij het zwembad en er hing een gemoedelijke sfeer. wij hebben voor de gehele 10 dagen fietsen gehuurd voor 40 dollar en hebben heel wat gefiets in de omgeving. wij komen zeker terug”
