“The pool had not been serviced in some time, there were loads of leaves and dead frogs in it, the skimmer definitely wasn’t working. Nearly every bathroom had broken shower knobs, the ice maker was covered in mold, we all got bites from sitting on the couches that look like they are from fleas. We killed a plethora of roaches and other gross bugs. It listed 2 rooms with 2 double beds in each— one room only had 2 twins. House felt musty, wifi didn’t work, tv didn’t work. Though the location was great, the kitchen was large and well equipped, and the host was accommodating with an early check in, I’m currently applying hydrocortisone and washing every piece of clothing I took into the house out of fear we brought home fleas or bed bugs.”

“I wish I could attach the 25 photos. The house was not ready for guests. It was dirty and had a lot of maintenance issues. Some challenges included dirty utensils in the drawers, stained mattress, dryers filled with water, bugs everywhere including in/on three beds, doors swollen shut making it difficult to enter/exit and secure house, water dripping through the ceiling, light bulbs out, feces in one of the toilets upon check-in, bbq grill dirty and unusable, dust on furniture and artificial plants, furniture on porches in disarray, pool and patio not clean, junk left on counter in laundry room, etc. We would not recommend this rental to other families, especially given that it is not inexpensive. We drive 10+ hours to get to IOP. This is our fourth Airbnb rental in the past year, and this is the first time we have encountered this type of situation. The other rentals have been wonderful. This rental was a disappointment.”
