“The house was lovely and fit 3 generations really well. Loved that it has 4BR/3.5BA since that can be difficult to find in rentals. The two parking spaces were also a major perk! The porches in the front and back were comfortable, adding greatly to the livable space. The house came with all needed supplies. The beach is very close! Easy walking distance, even for my toddlers. Maybe 10 minutes? There’s a convenient shower to wash off sand beneath the house. Concerns: 1) Updates. Cosmetically, very appealing, but some things are outdated, and I’ve reached out to them. 2) Stairs. To enter the house you climb a very steep staircase. To get to the main floor with the kitchen/living, it’s another staircase. Fine for active folks, but trickier for young children, elderly, and those with mobility issues. Overall, great place and would stay again. 4/5 stars with easy potential for a 5 after a few repairs.”

“We were a large group of 2 adult families and 2 dogs and we all loved our stay at Palm cottage. Full of old cottage charm and character and a fabulous location! We thoroughly enjoyed the close proximity to the beach, the Boathouse (great bar & restaurant across the street) and the private dock. While we did have an issue with the A/C the hosts responded immediately and had a technician at the house that morning. Kitchen is very small but we made it work for a few big meals.”

“Great mini vacation. Pictures and description were completely accurate. Views were spectacular. Building has an elevator with rolling trolley to help get luggage upstairs. We enjoyed biking and the super close proximity to the beach. If you drive a large SUV, the parking spaces are tight and lot gets packed quickly.”

“We cannot say enough good things about this property. We booked very last minute and feel incredibly lucky to have found it available. It had everything we needed and more and links to services for grocery delivery and beach equipment rental were readily provided. Sunrises on the balcony were stunning. The condo was very clean and well stocked. We were pleasantly surprised to see puzzles and games available, and took advantage of that. This is a great location if you are looking for a beach vacation with easy access to Charleston. The best of both worlds!”
