“We had a great time and the communication was really top notch. Before we even arrived, they proactively let us know that the A/C needed servicing and that the TVs weren't working. They had an A/C company out to fix it before we arrived and had fire sticks delivered the next morning. That kind of proactiveness was great and helped avoid disruptions in our trip. The location of the house is really unbeatable and the large screened in porch is where we spent almost all of our time. We'll definitely be back because of the great service and location. Great time! Separately, not that it impacted our stay but for awareness for others, there are no beach towels and not enough bath towels to use for the beach so I would plan accordingly for that. There were also limited dishes in some cases (coffee cups for example) so I would recommend bringing paper products and travel mugs. There are also a few beach chairs but they have seen better days and you'd probably want to bring your own.”

“We loved it here. So comfy and cozy. You need to pack: hair and body wash, extra 13 gallon trash bags from home if you go through more than 3. There were 6 rolls of tp total. There is a keurig and also a drip coffee maker. First time on Daufuskie? Here's pointers: You will eat dirt and be covered in it daily. Bring a hair wrap to go to and fro. To my knowledge, there's nowhere on the island that has raw meat of any sort to cook dinners if you forget it on the mainland. Don't forget it. There's tons of pantry and dairy staples available between D'fuskies and Freeport store. Prices aren't bad, but they aren't Walmart. Mondays and Wednesdays are the dead days for businesses. Check hours. Bring sugar. I never saw any. Ask questions on the Daufuskie fb page. Very helpful. Frye's Corner and Sportsman Pub (best brewed sweet tea) has the best food. There's a swimming pool at Melrose (and a small gym). You need to ferry to the island and a transit from the dock to property. Make sure to relax.”
