We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the convenience of being able to get around the island on our rides. Host was very friendly and always available to help us during our stay. “We ❤️ Daufuskie and love staying in Melrose. This house was fantastic! It’s a larger one in Melrose & We had plenty of room and all the amenities inside that we needed for a big family. We love being oceanfront and this house was a perfect location! The rental co. was great and responsive. We had a rough start with a sick dog - they sent us to the vet on the island (Dr Dave!) who was great, but currently has no imaging equipment so we had to go to the emergency vet in Bluffton. “Krissy” with the rental co was very kind and checked on our pup ❤️ (thank you) We also were told there was a Keurig, and couldn’t find it, so they had one delivered the next day! My only disappointment was the screened in porch lacked seating, and had just a small table. We love lounging on the deck with the family, but there was no comfortable seating. With such a nice house I highly recommend upgrading the deck furniture, and new beach chairs as well. otherwise, we had a great week, and have a healthy pup!”

“Perfect in every way! The house was so beautifully designed with fun artwork and beach vibes that we totally felt at home away from home the moment we arrived there. Plenty of drawers and space and completely equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook, play a game, hang out on the porch and enjoy the view or hang out at the beach. Super comfortable beds and pillows for a good nights sleep and waking up to an ocean view was priceless. Stunning ocean and nature views from the back porch and riding around on the golf cart and quick/easy access to the beach. Added bonus having the nice golf cart we didn’t have to rent that kept a great charge for exploring the entire time. We loved staying here and can’t wait to return! Beautiful place, historic sights, non commercial, friendly islanders, and great hosts! True taste of southern hospitality. Pack light for exploring and relaxing on the beach but pack heavy for what you want to eat or drink 😘”

“We had a great time and the communication was really top notch. Before we even arrived, they proactively let us know that the A/C needed servicing and that the TVs weren't working. They had an A/C company out to fix it before we arrived and had fire sticks delivered the next morning. That kind of proactiveness was great and helped avoid disruptions in our trip. The location of the house is really unbeatable and the large screened in porch is where we spent almost all of our time. We'll definitely be back because of the great service and location. Great time! Separately, not that it impacted our stay but for awareness for others, there are no beach towels and not enough bath towels to use for the beach so I would plan accordingly for that. There were also limited dishes in some cases (coffee cups for example) so I would recommend bringing paper products and travel mugs. There are also a few beach chairs but they have seen better days and you'd probably want to bring your own.”
