“I needed a place to stay close to family and this place checked the boxes. It was very clean and reasonably well appointed. A couple of huge drawbacks: the hosts were very difficult to communicate with. I had to reach out multiple times and get Airbnb involved for major issues (check in details and instructions, heating system not working and very dangerous in freezing temperatures, etc). So many hidden fees and over charging. They wanted an additional deposit, of which they took out approx $700 at check out for utilities! What?! Never mentioned in listing or in communication. Super shady. Also additional pet fees not communicated beforehand. It is definitely not worth the amount paid for it, and the poor communication made the stay quite stressful at times. Had I not been caring for an ailing family member, I would have left.”
