We enjoyed the house and had a great get away with family. Loved everything about the house except for the fire pit not working. We were so looking forward to sitting outside by the firepit in the evenings while we were there. One of the main features that made me choose this house. I contacted the property manager and they sent someone over the next day to check it out. They weren't able to get it fixed while we were there. This was the only thing we were disappointed in. The location is great for Rockaway Beach. We enjoyed the secluded area off the beaten path.

The overall place was fine. They have cleaning issues. There was sand and rocks everywhere including the floor and the furniture, inside and outside the house. There were stains on the bed some were blood while others were yellow stains. I tried to clean the place myself but the vacuum was not even working. Really bad cleaning conditions. They don’t really clean anything before stays other than resetting the place. Would not stay here again.

Pros: good amount of space, bedroom with door, nice bath, full kitchen, good parking, convenient to stores/downtown, nice linens, clean except a few hard to reach places. Cons: broken window screens, missing drawer handles, widows held open with blocks, beds are doubles NOT queens, no bedside tables or lamps, broken light in kitchen. Neutrals: Not a lot of extras like coffee creamer, no sofa cushions, finishing touches, no dog toys or towels. Overall it was okay, I found it pretty quiet and easy to sleep, dog friendly. It wasn’t polished and seemed run down. If it’s inexpensive it’s certainly okay to stay for a few days.

The lake, hot tub, and fire pit were great. The rooms were clean and as expected. Using the kayaks was easy, convenient, and fun. When pulling the kayaks from the garage, we had to move a vehicle to have enough room to maneuver the long canoe around the house. We were eager to get out on the water and forgot to move the car back, although it wasn't blocking any other driveways or units. In doing so I received a text that iTrip had "received reports of vehicles that appear to violate parking rules". While we didn't get fined, it did make everyone feel uneasy at the property. The neighborhood itself is likely all vacation rentals, with the exception of a few long term residents who were not friendly at all. They actively shielded their faces and hurried away when we waved at them. Weird vibe!! The unit is a duplex which I only realized after arriving and re-reading reviews. The space did tend to feel like a sterile quasi-hotel, which if that's what you want, hits the mark.
