“Really lovely home on the coast, great views of the bay. The feature fire place was a superb place to while an away the evening. The rooms are really quirky with upstairs and a basement. We really enjoyed Newport and all of the restaurant/ attractions that Blake gave us on the link which was really helpful and very professional. Thank you Blake for the opportunity of staying at your home which we would return anytime. Jeff Sally Dave and Karen.”airbnb

“This place was big but also cozy for a family of 5. Three restrooms and plenty of beds for us. Loved the large open living room with the swivel chairs, peaceful to watch the waves and beach while enjoying a snack. The host was very responsive. There was slight confusion at the beginning as the address was slightly off by one digit but host responded promptly and we got in with no other issues. We would definitely return again with more family members next time.”airbnb

“The views were amazing! Waking up and being able to see the ocean and boats with our morning coffee and breakfast is always a highlight of our stay on the coast. It’s a short walk to the Yaquina Bay Viewpoint and then a short climb down to the beach. You’re also very close to the Bayfront area to walk along the shops and watch the Sea Lions. The house is tucked away in corner so you have to mindful getting in and out of the driveway. It is an older home but was very cozy for our family and they very much enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. Contrary to what others have mentioned, the bathrooms do lock if you push and twist the doorknob. Overall we enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to see what this place becomes with some small updates!”airbnb

“We had a wonderful three-night stay and really enjoyed our time here. One of our favorite parts was having our morning coffee while looking out at the ocean—it was a beautiful way to start each day. Blake was a responsive host and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The beach is within walking distance, though getting there does require a bit of a climb down and a walk through the sand dunes. Since we had typical Oregon Coast weather, we didn’t end up spending much time on the beach, but it was nice to have such easy access. The home worked well for our group. One of the beds is located in an open loft, which was perfectly fine for us, but it’s something future guests may want to be aware of. The only downside was that the beds weren’t quite as comfortable as we prefer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the beautiful location and Blake’s hospitality.”airbnb

“Our group enjoyed our stay at Blake's place. There were plenty of rooms/beds so that our entire group had their own space. We LOVED the view of the ocean and appreciated we could open the windows to let in fresh air and listen to the sound of the waves. We were fortunate to stay here during a negative low tide, so we had a great time exploring the various creatures hanging on the to jetty rocks. When we came back to the house, it was easy to wash our sandy feet off in the hose. Just a quick fyi... there are no locks on the interior doors so we had to teach the kiddos to knock first before going into the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!”airbnb
