We were just two people so we had a lot of space to cook, relax, and explore. Sean is a fantastic host and very responsive and made sure checking in was as easy as possible. “What a castle. I have a feeling we will never stay in a place like this again, as nothing could compare. This house is a fortress on top of a hill with views for miles. The ceiling is 30+ feet and everything is on a grand scale. When everyone walked in, their jaws dropped. We were traveling to see the redwoods 1.5-2 hr south, and there were slim pickings on lodging, so we decided to go north. We then stumbled upon this incredible property. It was exciting to not only see a part of the world we’ve never seen before, but to do it in a house like this was such a treat. We felt so lucky to be there. We are building a house now and I can only imagine how much ingenuity, detail and perfection went into this masterpiece. Nothing compares. The area is indeed remote, and if you’ve never been to this part of the US before, you’re in for a bit of a surprise. It is remote but delightfully so. Gold beach “town” is about 15-20 min drive with just enough civilization to provide for your needs.”
