“The property deserved five stars. But there were some deficiencies. First, there was no salt in the salt shakers and no salt in the pantries. We first had to add salt to our shopping list. Only the tiniest bottle dishwashing liquid war next to the sink. In the bathrooms, only tiny, Motel 6 sized bar soap was provided. There was only a small container of coffee available. The provisions were minimal. This was not an inexpensive rental. We shouldn’t have been provided so cheaply.”

“Beautiful view and patio. Could walk around outside top of unit. Loved walking down to ocean. Unit very spacious and airy. Upper level was beautiful and maintained. We were not happy with lower level of unit; cuboards dirty-sticky, screen doors broken -dirty, tables needed refinishing, dog hair-urine smell, several lights out broken, windows filthy, green cushion dirty, posts and rope rail broken. Thou shall give your unit some TLC.”

“Place was ok. Prior occupants must have left late and trashed the place because cleaner was still working long after our arranged check in. There were no dish towels, had to call to have bath towels delivered, gas powered fire pit was out of propane, trash compactor was nasty dirty, found dishes in cupboard dirty and something gross smeared on several walls. But layout of home is nice and entertainment friendly and has a great view. Just no extras in the home, no TVs in bedrooms, poor lighting, shower head does not spray and is very noisey - just pours out. Had an oven out of order, fireplace out of order, and listed included apartment is up very rickety stairs in an entirely seperate building.”

“I would not recommend this Airbnb to anyone. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The bed sheets and pillow cases had what appeared to be old blood stains on them, which was revolting and completely unacceptable. The home also had fleas. I left covered in flea bites, and after returning home, my dog ended up with fleas as well. This has been incredibly frustrating and has resulted in additional time and expense to treat both myself and my pet. On top of the cleanliness issues, the property was very outdated, with patched walls, numerous dings, and visible wear and tear throughout. The entire place had a strong mildew smell that made it feel damp, dirty, and uncomfortable. This stay was a huge disappointment and nowhere near the standard I expect from an Airbnb. I feel misled by the listing and cannot recommend this property. I hope these serious issues are addressed before anyone else has the same experience.”

“This house is super spacious. Beds were comfortable. Inside the house was clean and we had everything we needed. As others have mentioned, lots of spider webs/bugs outside but that’s to be expected when you’re by a lake and near trees. We had no issue with bugs or spiders inside. Communication is Okay, just automated responses. I messaged a day before departure to ask for a late check out and never got a response. Just got the automated message on check out time and what to help with at check out. Check out list is minimal which is nice:”
