“This was one of the cleaner vacation homes we’ve stayed in overall, but the walls and baseboards really need some attention. They were noticeably dirty, scuffed, and marked up throughout the house, which made the home feel much less well-maintained than it otherwise was. I’m not sure if they simply aren’t being wiped down between guests or if they’re beyond cleaning and need fresh paint, but either way, it stood out. For nearly $1,700 for a three-night stay, I think it’s reasonable to expect the property to be maintained to a higher standard, including repainting when needed.”

“The location/view was amazing. Could see seals, birds, and whales from the home. A house was a little close to the highway so there was some extra noise but otherwise its conviently located to town. House was large and comfortable for our group. Main bedrooms were well apointed. The big downer was the quality of the home. The master bathroom shower was broken and unuseable when we got there and nobody stopped by to fix it. One burner on the kitchen range was broken as well as others that didnt heat reliably. We noticed many of the homes smoke alarms were missing on the main floor. Unsure if it met code or not. Kids bunk room matresses were not that great and would not recomend for anyone over 10 YO. The home worked well for what we needed. Given what we paid, I would have expected the home would have had more polish.”

“This lovely cottage is perfect for two people! The ocean views are beautiful. We had all of the amenities that we needed to enjoy our stay!”

“We had trouble locating the house. It was behind an abandoned house and there wasn’t a driveway. When we got out of the car, there were three vicious dogs with a three foot fence that they could have easily cleared. The dogs continued to try and reach us as we walked by. As they were barking, the lock did not work to get in. My husband walked around the front of the house and the neighbor came out and asked him “What do you think you’re doing? He said trying to get in, and is there a back door.? She said no then showed him the boundaries and the driveway that we could not park in. We left immediately. Airbnb was extremely helpful. If it wasn’t for them, we would be in a much worse position. Both of us are over 70 years old. Airbnb reimbursed us immediately and I do hope they recover the fees from the ownership.”
