“The location of this home is lovely, right on the golf course. We were able to see a lot of deer and easily find our way around the bike paths. No access to the garage at this property which was unfortunate for our group that brought bikes. In addition the linens, towels and pillows were all fairly worn. Kitchen and main floor were great for entertaining and cooking and resting. All guests should be aware that there are no pool towels at this home and we learned you must bring your own towels to the pools in Black Butte - a downfall for those traveling from out of town. Overall, we had a nice stay and enjoyed our time. A few minor improvements would elevate this property.”

“kitchen is nice and updated but rest of home is older, the layout is fairly chopped up wit the sunken living room. Carpet has some stains and the white couch in particular is a bit shabby and shows light staining from normal use. The couch probably is no less clean than others, but the white color is a difficult choice for short term rentals. Sheets are okay but rest of bed linens could use an update.”

“The house is a great home base for taking advantage of Black Butte Ranch and the general area. Our family really appreciated the hot tub and movie setup after long days of fun on the ranch. Location is a pleasant distance from the activities near the lodge, easy bike ride or long walk. As other reviewers have mentioned, the upstairs loft is best for independent kids and teens - the stairs are steep and the head room up top is tight. Also note that both bathrooms have 3x3 stall showers, so not easy to wash off little kids who might need more help.”

“We've stayed in many short-term rentals over the years, and with a background in real estate, I can truly appreciate what this home and Black Butte Ranch have to offer. The location is fantastic, the golf course views are beautiful, and the layout was perfect for our family. It made gathering for meals and spending time together incredibly easy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and loved the home itself. Our only suggestion would be that it's due for a thorough deep clean and a little attention to housekeeping and maintenance. With those improvements, this would easily be a five-star rental. We hope to see those updates, because we'd happily stay here again.”

“Won't rent cabin again. Very dark, smelled and upstairs loft, not bedroom but a loft had a carpeted ladder to access it. Bathroom was on first floor..........so for kids only. Refrigerator was dirty. Other than that we made do and saw deer off the deck every morning.”
