“Our stay at this home was better than we could have imagined. The home is so beautiful and inviting, and the pictures are stunning, but they still don’t do it justice. We were a family of 12, including six adults and six teenagers, and there was plenty of space for everyone without feeling like we were on top of one another. Every morning was spent on the porch, and we had many late night swims off the dock under the moonlight. The location was perfect. We walked to the local restaurant, cooked meals at the house, walked to the beach most days and rented surfboards nearby. We drove to Wilmington to explore and enjoy a wonderful dinner, and another day hired a boat to take the kids tubing right from our dock while we watched from the balcony. There were endless things to do, yet we were also able to slow down and feel so grounded in this beautiful space throughout the trip. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful. There’s truly nothing more I could’ve asked for from this stay.”

“This was an amazing experience and well worth the price we paid. The house was just as describe and was cleaned thoroughly before we arrived! The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking, spacious for 10 people to fit and all appliances worked as expected. Would definitely recommend and book again!”

“The Whale House was a wonderful place for our family vacation! The house was very clean, spacious, and everyone absolutely loved the space. The location was perfect — just a short walk to the beach, bars, and nearby attractions. We had 11 guests (2 of them being kids), and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. One of our favorite features was the rooftop deck, which offered beautiful views of the surroundings along with a relaxing ocean breeze and views of the waves. The only minor downside was parking. The property allows parking for two cars, and additional parking costs $25 from 9 AM–7 PM, so just plan accordingly if you’re traveling with multiple vehicles. I’d also recommend bringing a few extra towels and toiletries (detergent, towels, paper towels, etc.) if you have a large group. Other than that, everything was great, and we had an amazing stay!”

“The location of this house is great and the home is beautiful but for the price, the amenities were lacking. Most Airbnb homes we’ve stayed in are better equipped with paper products and toiletries as well as lovely welcome packages of baked goods, coffees, etc. Also the bed linens were well worn and subpar, not what you would expect to find in such a nice home. Our family did have a great time and the location on the channel provided beautiful scenery and opportunities for water activities, which we enjoyed.”
