This house was perfect for our family gathering. The open layout was great for meals and just hanging out. Highly recommend!

This roomy, comfortable house worked well for our group of five adults and four young children. However, there were some aspects that were less than perfect. PROS: Exceptionally responsive host. Quiet, peaceful location. Quick drive to downtown. Nearby grocery & other stores. Comfortable beds & seating areas. Multiple bathrooms. Ping-pong table. Great washer/drier. Large kitchen. CONS: Ceiling leaks in living room. Badly peeling paint on exterior. Unpleasant odor in master bathroom. Mold on wall of screened porch. Some worn out, old furniture and rugs. No supply box. IN SUM: With needed maintenance, this house would be an all-around 5 stars.

Worst AirBnB experience I’ve ever had; need more than 1000 characters. 3 business days before our visit, we paid for an early check-in. Contacted management the morning of check-in to confirm this was approved. Over 1 hour later, we were told it was not. This was after my wife and I had already begun the 4 hour drive to the property. A variety of bugs (roaches, worms) appeared around day 5 of our 9-day stay. Basement bathroom had to be cleaned multiple times/day due to the amount of bugs that were getting in. Contacted management about this issue, were told they couldn’t send someone to treat until we left due to the holiday weekend. Outdoor areas were not maintained. Stone path in the first picture of the listing is full of weeds. My son cut back branches that were blocking part of the path to the home’s back entrance. Kitchen cleanliness was not up to standard. Kitchen utensils had dried food left on them; the table, countertops, and trash can lid were sticky when we arrived.

If you are looking for a true Asheville experience, look somewhere else. While technically in Asheville, the home is located directly off of a busy road, on the second floor of a window detailing business that is open from 7-7, and is directly across from a PVC pipe manufacturing plant that operates 24/7. The area overall is not walkable, noisy and smelly from the plant across the street, and difiiculy to access. Additionally, the only way to enter the home is via a flight of poorly constructed concrete stairs; difficult for those with physical limitations. The bathing situation is also less than ideal with claw foot tubs requiring guests to high step into a wet area. Finally, this is not a local home. It is manged by a corporation in California. As a result, the communication is out-of-touch and does not reflect what Asheville represents. I travel to Asheville at least six times a year and will not be staying here again.
