“SPECTACULAR is the only way to describe this beautiful home! The view of Grandfather Mountain from the front porch was awesome, and the rocking chairs there were in constant use! The fire ring was much appreciated and the kids loved the tree house and swings. The inside of the house is just as nice as the outside. The reading space upstairs was very cool, but honestly never got used because the front porch was so enticing! All in all, this is a stunning property. We are so glad we chose to stay here!”

“This cabin was a wonderful escape for my wife and I. We appreciated how private the place was even though the owners lived at the end of the driveway. You can see their cars, but not them! The tree cover makes it feel very private, but there’s help 500’ away if something goes wrong. The cabin was cozy and never got too hot or cold. The upstairs is totally open to the downstairs so if you’re planning a couples trip, I hope you’re good friends because the beds aren’t in a private bedroom. Be sure to use the tub, it’s a true definition of a soaking tub. We didn’t make use of the games in the basement, but they’re a huge selling point if you’re wanting activities to do without constantly going to town. The driveway is very steep, so snow would be a hassle even with a 4WD. You’re about 15 minutes from Boone, and 30 from Blowing Rock at this cabin.”

“Excellent views. The place is very beautiful with wonderful and adequate furnishings. It is in need of some tender loving care.. The dryer filter appears not cleaned for a very long time. Dirty in places like the utensil draw. It appears as though it was not cleaned for a while. The area was peaceful. First time in the mountains, after cleaning, we had a wonderful time.”
